Two hours of school play. Your child’s six minutes.
The school recording covers every class, every song, every speech. KinCut finds the moments your child is actually on stage, so you can keep — and share — just those.
Start with a videoMade for recordings like these
- School plays and nativity shows
- Concerts and recitals
- Graduations and award ceremonies
- Sports days and dance shows
How it works
- Upload an MP4, MOV or WebM file up to 15 GB, or paste a YouTube link to a video you own or have permission to use.
- Confirm your email with a one-time code — there’s no password. Your upload keeps going while you do.
- KinCut scans the video on its own GPU and groups every face it finds. We email you when it’s done.
- Name the people you recognise and pick who belongs in the reel. KinCut gathers every moment they appear.
- Watch a free preview of the highlight reel and short clips. Unlock full quality when you’re happy.
Stage footage tips
Face recognition needs faces to be visible. Recordings from the front, with decent light, work best. Wide shots from the back of a hall make faces small and harder to find, so expect fewer matches there.
Other children’s privacy
School recordings include other families’ children. KinCut only shows faces to the account that uploaded the video, never publishes anything, and the reel you make contains only the people you choose.
Questions
The school shared the recording on YouTube. Can I use the link?
Yes, if you have permission to use the video — for example, a recording shared with parents for personal use.
Can I make a reel of two siblings in different classes?
Yes. Choose both children and the reel includes the moments of either one.
